ABOUT USSALMA Dialogue

SALMA Dialogue, established in 2018 and headquartered in Tunisia, is an international initiative designed to promote positive collaboration between Africa and Latin America together with Europe, and North America.

The program champions South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTrC), facilitating constructive dialogue among governments’ representatives, policymakers, business leaders, academics and experts.

SALMA Dialogue goes beyond fostering discussion. It aims to develop and implement multilateral strategies and policies, translating dialogue into concrete regional and multilateral actions across participating countries. With over 280 participants representing more than 50 countries, the program encompasses 5 key thematic areas: Economic Cooperation, Peace & Security, Gender Equality, Health Innovation and the annual SSTrC Business Forum.

SD Objectives

The overall objective of the program is to promote the SSTrC and to have a positive impact on the involved regions, countries and stakeholders to achieve the following strategic goals:

I. Boost interactions between the South & North 

II. Strengthen economic exchanges between them

III. To set up a strategy favorable to the creation of synergies between the various partner countries capable of supporting their respective development processes

IV. Integrate partners involved in advocacy to succeed in initiating a dynamic of real value creation;

V. Formulate public policy proposals to institutionalize the a sustainable cooperation and a win-win relationship.
