Youssef Trifa is currently a full tenure professor at the Tunisian National Institute of Agriculture as a full professor and head of the department of Agronomy and Plant Biotechnologies.
He is running many research and research and development project related to farmers’ adoption of technological solutions for increased sustainability and resilience to climate change.
He has also served as a expert for international organization including the Food and Agriculture Organization and the International Centre for Biosaline Agriculture.
2019-2021, Youssef Trifa was the Executive President of the Agadir Technical Unit whichacts as the secretariate of the Agadir Agreement. The Agadir agreement is trade agreement between Egypt, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia, aiming at fostering economic integration between the member states, develop trade and economic partnership between the member states and their neighboring European countries.
Youssef has also served at the Tunisian Ministry of Agriculture as an advisor to the Minister and at the Ministry of Trade as head of the Cabinet.
